Why does v2.7.0 not have a pkg.txz ?
-
Looking at the index of pfSense_v2_7_0_amd64-pfSense_v2_7_0/Latest/, there is no pkg.txz:
Index of /pfSense_v2_7_0_amd64-pfSense_v2_7_0/Latest/ ../ pkg.pkg 08-Sep-2023 14:32 9273126 pkg.pkg.sig 16-Nov-2023 20:56 727 pkg.txz.sig 16-Nov-2023 20:56 727
Assuming that pkg.txz.sig is some sort of signature for pkg.txz, I wonder why it would be missing.
For pfSense_v2_6_0_amd64-pfSense_v2_6_0/Latest/ for example it is there:
Index of /pfSense_v2_6_0_amd64-pfSense_v2_6_0/Latest/ ../ pkg.pkg 08-Sep-2023 14:46 3997124 pkg.pkg.sig 30-Oct-2023 06:10 727 pkg.txz 08-Sep-2023 14:46 3997124 pkg.txz.sig 30-Oct-2023 06:10 727
I'm asking because of this error btw:

The package system switched to using .pkg some time ago. The pkg binary should check for both files but may only show the error unless if you run it verbose.
