    I got this notification:

    XMLRPC Error
A communications error occurred while attempting to call XMLRPC method host_firmware_version: Unable to connect to tls://192.168.254.3:<<port>>.
    Error: Operation timed out @ 2024-02-24 20:11:37

    What's very strange:

    • 192.168.254.3 is the IP for our secondary XMLRPC pfSync port on dedicated sync link
    • <<port>> is the high numbered port we have chosen for the TCP Port in WebConfigurator (system->advanced) for access to the pfSense GUI

What would be trying to act like it's connecting to the pfSense GUI, but do so by connecting to the secondary sync port???

That's how the xmlrpc for config sync works. It implies the secondary didn't respond for some reason. Perhaps it was down at the time?
