      Hey everyone,
a non-technical question popped up in my head (don't even ask...):
what is it about groups in this forum? To clarify: not the topic groups, I mean for example Layer8 or Rebel Alliance...
Although I come here quite often (and like it, since it is a good place for a hobby user as myself to get some news, problems and solutions on pfsense), I just noticed today, that those funny banners next to some nicknames are groups.

Now: what about those groups? Why a group? Are those open groups? How do they differ from each other? What (if at all) is expected from their members, what do they offer for their members? Is it just for fun?
You see, I just don't get it (yet)...any insights or/and thoughts are appreciated. :)

@the-other there is nothing special about groups like layer8, or there is rebel alliance and galactic empire, snowflake... They are just groups for fun..

I guess they could be assigned special permissions.. But those you mentioned are just fun..

Yup, those are just for fun.

Admin, Mod, Netgate, Employee etc are not. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@the-other they are under Edit Profile. May need enough likes to change that? I think thatโ€™s the case for forum signature at least.
