I currently have a pfsense 7100 set up with multiple VLANs flowing from the ETH2 port. I want to move this so the VLANs could flow from the ix1 port instead.
I re-assigned the parent interface from the LAGG0 to the ix1 interface but when I do that, I lose access to the web gui entirely and cannot get back in. I changed the parent interface on Interfaces- Assign- VLANs and I have also changed the network port on Interfaces- Assignments to be tied to the VLAN/Parent (ix1) assigned. When I plug myself to the ix1 port I get nothing. Do I need to make any changes anywhere else?

I noticed that when I change the LAN network port to the ix1 port I am able to connect to the web gui, but when I change it to (VLAN 4091 on ix1) I cannot.

@afd1219 Do I just need to keep LAN to network port ix0 instead of LAN to network port VLAN4091 to ix0 ?

Any network can be on any NIC.
You need to be connected to a VLAN that you are not moving. This will allow you to make sure it finishes.
In my case I left LAN on the switch because I have locked myself out a few times. I do not use LAN. All VLANs are through the 10Gb ports.

@AndyRH Thanks Andy. I was able to figure it out, I was still using VLAN 4091 from the switch when it is not needed as its its own interface.

@AndyRH Andy, Could you send me a picture of your interface assignments tab? I think I'm still doing something wrong.

@afd1219 As I stated LAN is on the switch, WAN is on IX1, most everything else is on IX0.
