Technical problem

Hello, I'm a beginner
I have a valid problem with the interfaces when installing pfsense again.
Only the WAN(em0) interface is available.
How do I make the interface appear?
Thanks in advance
Kind regards! -
@puig what interface? You have not provided any info to go on..
What are you installing pfsense on? Does it have multiple nics in it? A multiple port nic? Are the interface on the motherboard? Are you trying to use a usb nic? So info like hardware your using, make and model - what nics make and model, etc.
Did it use to work, and your reinstalling to try and fix it? Is this a VM on some host and your creating a new VM?
What version of pfsense even?

Yup what interfaces are you expecting to see? Do they appear in the boot log?

@stephenw10 During the first installation, there were 2 network interfaces, namely em0(for WAN) and em1(for LAN) but I took the liberty of reinstalling the OS and since then I have only one interface(em0 for wan). I would like to remind you that I work in a virtualization environment running vmware workstation pro 17.

@puig if your setup is on a vm, and your VM doesn't see a nic - how is that a pfsense problem?? Look to your VM settings why you didn't assign a nic to the VM..
Like thinking its the cars problem for not having any gas..

But does the VM have two NICs configured on it?
Is there any reason you're not using pfSense 2.7.2?

@johnpoz Ok I will try give a second NIC
many thanks
