I am experiencing excessive intermittency in my internet access. When this happens to me I have tried disconnecting the ethernet cable and reconnecting and the signal returns.
I have tried changing the physical port on the device and the problem persists, I have tried changing the patchcord and it is still the same.
The supplier says it is not their problem, how can I test if the problem persists from the supplier.

Do you have gateway monitoring enabled?
Are you running a cable modem or fiber?
Was this always a problem or just recently?
When you say intermittent internet access can you be more specific? Slowness? dns not resolving? Im trying to understand if you maintain connectivity or not.
Is internet access an issue on wifi or hardwired devices or both when the problem occurs?

          @michmoor I tell you:
          1- Gateway monitoring is activated
2- From the modem to the Pfsense it is by Ethernet cable
3- Recently since it is a recent implementation.
4- I will be more specific, I totally lose access to the internet.
5- It is both wireless and wired

1 = Does gateway monitoring turn yellow (packet loss) or red (gateway down)
2 = to be clear are you dealing with cable technology? CTSM, modems, frequencies? I ask because thats a common issue
4 = So DNS resolution doesnt work? Do pings by ip address work? You are still not clear on what an outage means in your case

@michmoor 1= Turns red when the problem occurs
2= The ISP modem is a raisecom, from a raisecom port I connect an Ethernet cable to interface 1 of my Pfsense device
4= No name resolution, no ping

Do you have any logs? Gateway logs or system logs during the outage?
Status > Monitoring . How was processor usage there(system).

Might be worth trying to disable the gateway monitoring action and seeing if you still have intermittent connectivity. Could be your ISP is blocking the IP used to monitor the gateway for some reason, I have had this happen, and then it'll set the gateway as down.

this or reconfigure the monitor IP to something non-ISP owned (System Routing / Gateways / WAN / Monitor IP) and see if the issue persists, like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 for example.

@cyberconsultants That too. Though I think at one point in time I had an odd situation where an ISP blocked pings to 1.1.1.1 after a certain amount of time (maybe it was some form of DDoS protection), haven't had it happen since but I know back then I had to disable gateway monitoring action in order to get a gateway to function. It's been a while though so I don't remember all the details.
