I reboot the 6100 from my laptop via a web browser. When it rebooted, I couldn't reconnect and the 6100 seems to be "dead" from a software standpoint.

      • I can connect to the console.
      • At the end of the reboot, I get the messages in this image.

      • If I do an LS command, I get nothing.
      • I tried to do a factory reset by holding the reset button with a paperclip:
1st for the 5 seconds - nothing happens (light stays blue)
next for over a minute - nothing happens (light stays blue)

      Help!

You simply rebooted? Not at upgrade?

If you have a config backup the fastest way back from there is going to be reinstalling. Open a ticket to get the recovery image: https://www.netgate.com/tac-support-request

          @stephenw10

Steve, thanks for the response! I did as suggested and reinstalled. Everything was going ok until I tried the same reboot from a browser (Diagnostics -> Reboot). Same problem as yesterday - back to needing to reinstall. Suggestions?

          Thanks,
          Craig

            Hmm, that's odd.
            You installed 23.09.1 clean?
Is it running from eMMC or SSD?

@cshinn try using a different usb stick. Yes I know it doesn’t make sense.

See this thread I unintentionally hijacked:

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
