Inconsistent DHCP online info(?)
-
I have two internal networks and one host has been online on the first one earlier (there is an old lease in history if looking at all configured leases) and that host then enters the second network instead. When doing that and getting DHCP from pfS on the second interface the host suddenly appears as online on both interfaces at the same time on DHCP leases page.
In system logs I can verify that host only has entered the second interface and looking at ARP table that is also verified, since host at that time is active.
The IP that is shown as 'online' on first interface is a static one.
This is surely not correct no?
I use: 1.2.3-RC3 built on Sun Oct 4 07:33:41 UTC 2009Cheers,

The online hosts are only checked by MAC address and whether that MAC is in the arp table. I'm not sure how strict those checks are.

ok, it would be nice if the indication was corect so one could use that page to actually see on which interface the host is active, but maybe this was something of a 'special case' where the host had been active on different nets. But still, not something unique I think.
