No /boot/kernel/kernel after upgrade from 2.7.0 to 2.7.2 and reboot
-
hi,
I upgraded pfsense from 270 to 272 and it works fine in two different locations. However, after rebooting in the first location and power out in the second location, they do not boot and show:
boot:
No /boot/kernel/kernelthe first pfsense is on a VW and the second one is on a PC. I googled and found out it is a common problem but there is no solution for it except to run a new clean install and restore the backups, is that right?!

I assume you mean VM?
If you somehow end up with no kernels available then, yes you would likely need to reinstall. Though in a VM you may have snapshots to roll back to.
