      Hi.
      Maybe a little bit off-topic but i was asking if anyone knew of a "database" or list of services that depend on certain TCP/IP ports.
      Some examples:
      "Microsoft Browsing" - TCP 137,138,139
      "Secure Mail" - TCP 465,587,993,995

        Something like this:
        Service Name and Transport Protocol Port Number Registry
        ?

        Pretty comprehensive.

          There is /etc/services (on freebsd and most linux) where port/protocol are mapped to service names.
