1000BASE-BX SFP (Skyline) transceiver SG-2100

Hello,
I've found some older threads about the same questions, but they either use different (e.g. BiDi) transceiver, invalid bandwidths or another Netgate products.
I recently bought a new SG-2100 with hopes to remove my ISP SFP -> RJ45 converter. The RJ45 SG-2100 WAN port works just fine behind the converter and I'm getting
1000baseT <full-duplex>
without any issues.While trying to connect the SFP directly to my SG-2100 I can't see any LEDs lighting up in the WAN combo port.
My ISP gave me the following transceiver: https://www.skylaneoptics.com/en/product/sbu35020dr3b-sfp-1000base-bx/ and I'm a little confused why it doesn't work to connect directly to the SG-2100?

That is a BiDi module. Curiously the picture of it shows two fiber ports Does it actually have two ports?
There's not a lot you can do on the 2100. The combo port always appears as 1000baseSX to the OS.
Does it link if you connect it after boot? Before boot?

You're right, it's a BiDi module. I got confused by the two ports on the picture as well, but checking my actual physical module, it only had one.

That's too bad :( I tried to both connect it before and after boot but it doesn't link either way. Could I debug it more somehow? Check the boot logs or something? Or could getting a more supported BiDi module help? (not sure which are officially supported by SG-2100?)

It can work with BiDi modules, I have a pair here that work fine in the 2100. They were the cheapest BiDi pair I could find!
When connected it looks like:

It looks like the module you have is rated as dual speed but the 2100 can only run at 1G. Any chance the ISP is set at 100Mbps?

I thought the 1G was an upper limit in the SG-2100 at first. I do currently have 100 Mbps plan from my ISP so maybe that's the problem in my case! . So just upgrading my plan would maybe make it work better?
Or maybe I could just try to find a more simple converter from 100Mbit -> RJ45 to place before the SG-2100?

Ah, yes a converter would probably work.
And yes that's probably why it's not linking. The 2100 cannot link at 100M.

Just wanted to give a final update on my issue. I ended up buying a small e-lnk (LNK-M3011-SFP) converter instead of my large ISP box and it worked without any problems.
