      Does anyone know what could be causing this error?

        What settings are you using?

        Did you already run it? Is it still running?

        Is it showing results as the message says?

        What pfSense version is that? What nmap package version?

          @stephenw10

          This is what I set as parameters when scanning with NMAP

          As can be seen from the picture below the machine is active and has a ping next to it

          Not sure how can I check the NMAP version in pfsense
          These are the services I have running

          When I start scanning with NMAP in pfSense it never finishes. I have to stop it manually from the stop button and after I do I get this error.

          The version of pfSense I'm using is 24.03

            The nmap version (7.94) is shown in the output there.

            You have to click 'refresh results' to see the output. It should finish in a few seconds.

            Try clearing the old results if you're still seeing that error.

              @stephenw10 I cleared the old results and clicked refresh results, but the error doesn't go away

                Hmm, I can't replicate that.

                Do you see any errors in the system log?

                    And that nmap error was triggered in that time period?
