I recently downloaded a Memstick USB image from a newly created shopping page, wrote it to the USB and was trying to install it on the desired Miniitx machine, but it asks for an internet connection in the process. This was not the case with the previous PFSense, but has the specification been changed?

I tried connecting the relevant port to the LAN port of the wireless LAN parent machine with a LAN cable, but a message saying that the Internet connection could not be confirmed appeared and I could not proceed from there. It seems that the installation does not proceed according to the Netgate support page.

Netgate now distributes an installer that requires Internet access during installation. Instructions here Online Network Installer
