      I'm currently running v2.7.2 and I wanted to install pfBlockgerNG and got the following error message:
      Unable to retrieve package information.

      Googling around made serveral suggestions my last lead that I tried was to downgrading to 2.7.1 and then run in the shell:

      pkg-static -d update

      And I get the follwing output:

      * Couldn't find host pkg00-atx.netgate.com in the .netrc file; using defaults
      * Hostname pkg00-atx.netgate.com was found in DNS cache
      *   Trying 208.123.73.207:443...
      * Connected to pkg00-atx.netgate.com (208.123.73.207) port 443
      * ALPN: curl offers http/1.1
      *  CAfile: none
      *  CApath: /etc/ssl/certs/
      * SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
      * Closing connection
      pkg-static: An error occured while fetching package

      Unable to update repository pfSense-core
      Updating pfSense repository catalogue...
      repository pfSense has no meta file, using default settings
      Unable to update repository pfSense
      Error updating repositories!

      Now, I could get it out of the rack and reinstall pfsense from scratch. But would be a bit of trouble.
      Can someone point to the right directions in order to fix this issue.

        Try running: pfSense-repoc first.

        If that doesn't work try resaving the update branch in System > Update Settings.
