Advice on SFP+ modules for 6100
-
Hi Everyone,
I’m looking to further modernize my home network. Currently I have 3Gbps FTTH. I’m not leveraging it to the full extent, and I’m looking to change that.
I’m looking to connect my home network to my fiber modem via its single 10Gb RJ45 port. Sadly, I can’t swap out its fiber module as it’s soldered on-board and subsequently can’t eliminate the modem. I’d love to directly attach the fiber coming into the home to my Netgate 6100 via a SFP+ module. The modem has to stay put. I’m connecting it via a MicroTik S+RJ10 SFP+ adapter(https://tinyurl.com/4apxapuf) to my 6100, so that’s going to be a near full win.
From the other SFP+ port on the 6100, I want to use a 10Gbps DAC into my main switch, however I need some clarification on which modules and DAC cable to use. I figured this for the DAC cable -

But what about the SFP+ modules? Ubiquiti has quite a few modules on offer and at this point I’m not certain what route to take. Likewise with Netgate’s modules. If possible I’d like to stick with Netgate or Ubiquiti modules, and certainly future-proof myself with 10Gbps equipment. FWIW, my replacement switch is a Ubiquiti USW-Pro-Max-24-PoE (https://tinyurl.com/24d4ha4p). I also have two of these 10Gbps modules from Netgate(https://tinyurl.com/4ef9tkkt ), but I’m unclear if they’re what’s best for this application.
Can this great community help guide me? Thank you wey much in advance for anything you’re able to offer.

I use 10Gtek SFP+ for my SG6100 and UI Switch.
On Netgate Side a Intel flashed and on UI Side a Ubiquiti flashed version. It works inkl. DOM support do see temp, RX/TX levels, Power draw...
