My Pfsense SG3100, with pfblockerng and current OS'

      23.09-RELEASE (arm)
built on Tue Oct 31 15:56:00 EDT 2023
      FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT

The system is on the latest version.
Version information updated at Wed Jun 26 7:27:36 EDT 2024

The clients are unable to use DNS, rebooting the SG3100 resolves the issue (temporarily)

How do I troubleshoot what the true issue is, rather than the bandaid fix of a reboot?

Help will be optimized if you would be using the current version.
Now I have to presume that you don't like the old (23.09) bugs,
but you don't want the new ones (24.03) neither ?

Btw : I'm using pfBlockerng, and unbound in native (resolving) mode is rock solid.

Here, look for yourself, all the DNS related affaires on my Netgate device, a 4100.

edit again : these stats show the unbound restarts.
These are happening because I restarted unbound, I'm messing a lot with my DNS for educational reasons. If I didn't touch my pfSEnse, it would only restart ones a week, as pfBlockerng updates its (my !) feeds only ones a week, (not every hours or so).

Also : don't forget about this one :
        Check this one :

and DNS issues are at your doorstep.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??
