Netgate 6100 Max with TNSR and 10GBaseT SFP+ modules
-
I have a Netgate 6100 MAax with TNSR and two 10GBASET SFP+ copper transceivers direct from Netgate. I've plugged both of the SFPs into ports TenGigabitEthernet3/0/0 and TenGigabitEthernet3/0/1 but neither port shows as up. Is there some special config needed to enable these?
Interface: TenGigabitEthernet3/0/0
Description: Internet
Admin status: up
Link down, link-speed unknown, unknown duplex
Link MTU: 1500 bytes
MAC address: 90:ec:77:41:76:cdThe link to the Cisco switch does show up though. Ive tried moving the cable between both ports with no luck. In the dataplane, the vpp shows no carrier

After reading a comment in this thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/Netgate/comments/1bzsv4m/the_sfp_10gbaset_80m_copper_rj45_transceiver_for/ - I found the problem.
I was testing to a 1gig port on a Cisco switch. Temporarily moved it to a 10G port on a server and the interface is up and working.
