There is no Dowload Option anymore für the older releases so whats going on with CE EditionWill the CE Edition also developed, or this finished ?
I found

For now you can find the offline/legacy installer here.
And I'm sure the CE version is still developed, it's just a different development cycle.
-
@patient0 THX but wy you are sure ?
I found
https://redmine.pfsense.org/projects/pfsense/roadmap
this is not enought because you found for the CE Projekt no more Information.
Do you have a link ? -
@megazocker Nope I don't know more but the roadmap itself looks good, no?
You click on the closed issues and sort by date and you see that they work on these issues. The last closed one is from yesterday. What more would you need?
The plus version gets more update, sure.
-
@patient0 ok so i will hope the best
THX

the pfSense installation was so simple, at the moment it's a nightmare for me.
If i need to reinstall mostly because I have no router and no internet...On the other side I can understand Netgate
, but this way of install don't work in Europe. -
@megazocker why are you looking to install CE? Your 6100 comes with pfSense Plus, with a current version of 24.03.
-
You can also install CE using the Net Installer.
The last commit to CE was 6hrs ago:

@slu Yes thats it ... this dont work, in germany
-
@ahking19 i dont will install on my 6100.
the point is that i have frinds they are using from PCEngines the APU hardware and they dont found a way to download the CE last Version.
I help only my frinds to install and by some basic configuration. My father-in-law has a Version with 2 Interfaces they crashed the Update from 2.7.0.
But as i dont found the last version and this beta installer of 24.3 dont work with the extrernal usb 3 slots on this hardware, so i changed to ownsense.
This 2 interface version iof the APU dont have usb 2 pins inside like the 3 or 4 interface versions .. no chance an also noth enough time to lay with this. -
@stephenw10 THX for this link .. i see thats CE is working.
the HW for father-in-law is by himself and waits for me to switch on .. for the moment i cant do anything ... with a broken arm and after operation, so i typing with one hand only, is... rubish ;) also no car driving etc only walkin and train was my option -

What doesn't work? The new Beta7 installer supports PPPoE.

This was no technical point, its more the way to install/setup new devices.
If I have any typo in my PPPoE settings my ISP block the connection after some fails for 24h hours...I like to install and access the router without internet in the first step and than restore the backup with my PPPoE credentials.
The need of a working internet connection to install is much more stress for me.
But as written before, I understand the (technical) view of Netgate about the online installer. -
@stephenw10 i wrote that the Hardware is not anymore in at my side so i cant rerty this.
its more than 2 monts ago and it was a pcengines apu2e0 with latest firmware-more informaton i cant give

Afaik, thousands of 1100, 2100, 3100, 4100 (got one myself) and 5100 and 6100 etc etc are used in Europe.
What did I miss ?
The way these are connected is identical in New Zealand, Australy, US and even Canada ?
Africa and South America and Assia : I can't tell. It does work well in South Africa, that I know. What's so different in Europe ?
Me, here in France : no issues what so ever for the last 10+ years or so.I would ditch my ISP if I had any issue at all ....
edit : Gemany ?!
That's a know sivilazid country. Great stuff here. Know for good quality afaik, and not only cars.
You've checked here (click on the image !) :I didn't se a message at the top of the forum that says : "You're living in Germany, so all bets are now off ...".
So your Netgate will work over there. Thousands of german pfSense users will probably be ready to invite you so you can see it for yourself -

My wording was not good, I see :)
Everything is fine with pfSense, please forget this "in Europe". -
Mmm, typo'd pppoe credentials would be an issue I could imagine. Not sure what we can do about that. For the Net Installer at least.
