Can pfSense Support User Profiles with Daily Time Limits?
-
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a way to manage internet usage through pfSense. Specifically, I want to create user profiles and assign each profile a daily internet time limit (e.g., 60 minutes). The process I'm envisioning is as follows:
- Users connect to the internet and are redirected to a login screen.
- Once they log in, a timer starts counting down their allocated time.
- After their allotted time (e.g., 60 minutes) is used up, their internet access is blocked for the rest of the day.
Does pfSense support this functionality? If so, how can it be set up?
Thanks for your help!

It's possible to do that using captive portal with radius accounting, yes.
