You got it all wrong. Pfsense plus used to be free. You just register your device and boom. You have pfsense plus. But someone in China saw this Netgate generosity as business opportunity for a quick cash grab so they decided to sell pfsense plus appliances and they basically screw everyone including the customers that bought their garbage hardware.
Wrong. I had one license that i forgot about that i have claimed and when i tried activating it after the plus version was no longer free, it did in fact upgrade but did not receive any updates. Asked the support about this and they confirmed that all free licenses are invalid now.
And what did i say ????
