Windows Server lab/home license
-
Hello everyone,
So I’m toying around in the lab and I want to introduce Windows Server so I can utilize DNS(trying out being a sysadmin on my downtime). I also want to throw in a NPS so I can play around with AD permissions for remote accessAnyone know where I can get a lab license for Windows server? Does such a thing exist?

@michmoor pretty sure you can run for like 90 days via trial
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/trial
Back in the day many many moons ago you use to be able to get a technet license and run stuff for testing/lab.. But pretty sure they discontinued that long ago.. You use to get shipments of all their products on cd/dvd..

As @johnpoz mentioned you can get a trial for Windows Server, any edition. They call it an "eval" license and the good part is you can re-arm that license like 5 times, so you can have a Windows Server install running "licensed" for like 3 or 4 years, something along those lines.
I believe it's 180 days each re-arm.
