    Hi,

I want to setup a HA cluster in pfsense, but I'm struggling to find a ISP that continues to offer /29 subnets on residential ISP in the UK, unfortunately most seem to have stopped offering them this year due to the IPv4 shortage. So I'm a bit stuck.

However they will offer a IPv6 block. So I'm wondering if I can have my IPv4 ip be a CARP IP, and have the pfsense instances have IPv6 IPs on the WAN network. I'm not that bothered about using IPv6 on my network generally, I'm happy with IPv4, but I'm wondering if allowing the individual routers to have their own IPv6 addresses would work?

Also I have to connect to my ISP via PPPOE, I don't know if that will support being connected to by multiple pfsense instances at once...

Any ideas? Do I just have to give up on trying to get pfsense working in a HA scenario?
