      Hi,

No modules I've tried on the 6100 are working.
Lately I even bought the module from netgate SFP+ 10GBASE-T 80M COPPER RJ-45 TRANSCEIVER and it still doesn't work...

Below is the module connected with my ISP 1GB terminal connection ( the interface is setup as dhcp client.

      [root@netgate-6100 ~]# ifconfig -vvv ix1
      ix1: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500

I don't really know what else I can do at this point

      Any suggestions are welcome...

      Thanks !

And I found my answer in https://forum.netgate.com/topic/188956/netgate-6100-max-with-tnsr-and-10gbaset-sfp-modules

As I'm not familiar with sfp modules, I didn't noticed they are NOT capable of auto negotiation... so a 10G module need to be connected to another 10G port ( therefore my ISP 1G port can't establish a connection with the 10G module).

        Thanks @cwhitten-dec !

Since I'm here I'm happy to report that the following modules are compatible with the netgate 6100 :

          • Mikrotik S+RJ10

          • FS SFP-10G-T100
