      2.7.2-RELEASE (amd64) built on Fri Dec 8 12:55:00 PST 2023 FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT

I notice that recently the "edit" function for existing configuration items (the pencil icon) brings up the appropriate form but without any of the data for the item in question... i.e. I can't actually see the configured values and make changes.

This has changed sometime in the past few months, but the version of the software hasn't changed.

Is there a way to restore edit functionality?

Hmm, that shouldn't be the case. Do you see that behaviour in multiple browsers or clients?

@stephenw10 That's very curious indeed. I was using Firefox and it wasn't working, but in MSEdge it does work. Taking a closer look at the page in developer tools I now see it's populated via Javascript. It's not clear if it's pfSense doing something funky or Firefox's JS engine being off (I'd lean towards the latter).

I'm not super familiar with JS, so unless you can provide a pointer on where to start I may not be able to provide much more detail.

I've opened a bug in Firefox's bug tracker.

Do you have any plugins in firefox? A script blocker could present like that.
