Internet lag times

Our employees at a remote location are experiencing lag times from 30 seconds to 2 minutes when waiting for a page to refresh after entering info. This is happening on a web page accessed directly through the internet and also on a page accessed via a VPN connection. We can lower the lag times by opening a remote session to the employee's computers via Endpoint Central remote management.
We're looking at different reasons for this. I have a support ticket open with ATT to see if they have any QOS policies that could be throttling our connection. Is there anything on the pfSense that I could look at?

Delays like that are not just latency or shaping issues. There is no way anything could be delays that long. It's more likely connections failing and retrying multiple times.
I would run a packet capture for that traffic and check it. See if the connection is showing multiple retries. Or anything else. It's probably going to be pretty obvious with that sort of error.
