      Hello everyone,

I have a few questions about the Traffic Shaper in pfSense:

Does the "Bandwidth" setting in a queue refer to the maximum bandwidth allowed for that queue, or is it something else?

Has anyone here tested the "Borrow" feature? I’m curious how it works in practice. For example, if one queue (let's call it "sibling A") isn’t using all of its assigned bandwidth, and another queue ("sibling B") borrows it, does "sibling A" immediately recover its bandwidth when needed, or does "sibling B" need to finish its task first?

Any insights on how the borrowing mechanism works would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

      Best regards,
