Hey All. I am holding off on switching to KEA because its pretty critical that my DHCP hosts have their hostnames registered into the DNS so that all the other hosts can resolve them correctly.

I am on 2.7.1 and it appears KEA still doesn't register hostnames yet. Has there been any murmorinngs on when this will be added?

@CubedRoot you mean you're one 2.7.2? So dns registration looks to be available in the upcoming 24.11 release - I would "assume" that these changes will make it to CE when 2.8 comes out..

Na, I'm on 2.7.1 for now. I've looked over the release notes for 2.7.2 and didn't see any updates or changes to KEA so I haven't ugpraded to it yet. Probably will this weekend or next when things are quiet.

Maybe I'll hold off until 2.8 releases and check the notes to see if those KEA improvements fixes the DHCP registrations into DNS.
