CloudFlare Dynamic DNS with IPv6
-
I currently have my public IPv4 address automatically updated at CloudFlare. But I noticed that only an A record is there, how do I configure the dynamic DNS client to also include my IPv6 / AAAA in the updates to CloudFlare?
With the push toward CGNAT, I’m worried I’ll loose my public IPv4 address; meaning the only way to make an inbound connection to my firewall will be via IPv6.

@KStarRunner How hard have you looked at that menu?

@Bob-Dig I’m not seeing any settings on the “Dynamic DNS Clients” page to configure IPv4 vs IPv6. What am I missing?

Figured out my own issue. For any particular Dynamic DNS entry, it only updates one IP address. One has to clone the existing IPv4 entry, then use the "Service Type" pull down, to select the IPv6 version of that service. Other than that, the remaining settings (i.e. hostname, API key, etc) all stay the same.
Would have been nice if someone could have just said that... instead of responding with snark...
