      Hi,
I have setup HA between two pfsense boxes. I have watched few videos of it on youtube. Where they shutdown one interface and the entire pfsense fails over to secondary box. ie, both the interfaces on seoncary pfsens box gets the role of Master.

However in my case if i shutdown one interface say wan. the carp status shows the primary pfsense still being the Master for LAN and Backup for WAN interface. and the secondary pfsense will get the Prmary for WAN but backup for LAN.

after this state clients cannot browse internet.

What is the expected behaviour. I am trying to do the lab in virtualbox and also tried esxi.
promiscous mode is on for all interfaces. Wan is using the carp ip.

Ensure that all interface pairs can communicate with the respective other node.
