      Hello,
I would like that my pc and servers update their ip to my dns server (on suse server configured with yast).
I see that there is an option on dhcp server web page called "dynamic dns" but I am not able to configure it, I suppose I need at least to specify the secret key to connect to the dns server.

Please note also that I have to pfsense in failover and their dhcp is also on failover.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ok I have found that there is a menu services->dynamic dns to set rfc2136 tsig key.

But dns update does not work.

I am searching for a log that says what it is doing. I am not able to debug.

What is the "hostname" entry in above menu for?

          Thanks again for any reply.

          Mario

The question is simple: how does dynamic dns (RFC2136) work in pfsense?

            Thanks!
