Package install fail on 1.2.3 RC3

Hi
I have installed 1.2.3 RC3 but cannot install any packages. I get the following result
Downloading package configuration file… done.
Saving updated package information... done.
Downloading squid and its dependencies... done.
Checking for successful package installation... failed!Installation aborted.
Log file only show:
php: /pkg_mgr_install.php: Beginning package installation for squid.Get the same with any package
Any Ideas

This is on a 1.2.3 RC3 Live CD installation
This is what I found in the pkg_mgr_squid.log log file:
Beginning package installation.
Downloading package configuration file…
squid-2.7.7 Array

[0] => tar: +CONTENTS: Not found in archive
[1] => tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.
[2] => pkg_add: tar extract of /tmp/apkg_squid-2.7.7.tbz failed!
[3] => pkg_add: unable to extract table of contents file from '/tmp/apkg_squid-2.7.7.tbz' - not a package?
[4] => pkg_add: 1 package addition(s) failed
)This happens to all the packages. The file is in the /tmp Directory.

Did you actually install to the hard drive or is it still running from the CD?
You might try a newer snapshot than the "official" RC3, too.
