Hi there. I did search for pfSense and RouterBOARD before posting and saw a few posts in Spanish, and others that mentioned using a 4-port NIC card in PCs. And, I also Googled quite a bit but may have missed something.

I'm extremely curious about building a router with a RouterBOARD or buying one pre-made. I'm worried that if I don't like the RouterOS (which requires a Windows app to configure it), I'll just be stuck with it.

Would pfSense run on this? How would I install it? I've only ever installed pfSense once and it was on an old PC.

FWIW: It looks like these are running Atheros procs, and I don't know what that would mean for pfSense compatibility. I'm a networking-hardware n00b for sure.

      Thanks!
