When I try to upgrade from webgui the pfsense machine downloading updates. But then it says "pfSense is now upgrading.
The firewall will reboot once the operation is completed.". After trying to reach the GUI no luck. It doesn't responding. I have to reboot pfsense maching.
Any comments?

Know this too. I don't have luck with this way of updating. But after this failed update (you can see it by typing uname -a on the command-prompt) you have the "latest.tgz" in /root, so make the update via console, Menu 13, then 2, enter /root/latest.tgz and all runs fine. You can verify the update by opening the Web-IF to the Dashboard, a packageinstall-reinstallall should beginto do its work.

Thanks for the reply. After updating pfsense route goes boom.

Maybe do the wizard, helped me to get functionality back. Something with Gateways seems not to work right after update. After the initial Wizard all worked as expected again.
-> System - Setup Wizard.

I tried it but no chance. I just look the console The message loops which related with squid. Then I decided to reinstall pfsense :(

Ok, this problem is solveable too. When on console and you get bombed with squid-errors, you can open a shell via pressing 8 (maybe try several times till it works: Was so with my box.)
then change to /usr/local/sbin and rename squid to squidx or whatever. After a reboot no more squid-errors, because its not there.
I think its because of the reinstall of the packages: The binaries are not deleted, the config-files are still not available due to whatever, and you get bombed.Install all as wanted and you will be on again. Don't forget to rename or delete squid again afterwards.
