    Hello,
    I have 2 fw in HA whit a pfSense+ subscription up & running
    24.03-RELEASE (amd64)
    PfSense TAC Lite
    Zero to ping only

    The HW is a Thomas Krenn RI1101H-XE

    Periodically, I reboot the node (for HA test), last time I do that, the Netgate Device ID change in all the 2 fw (I do not any HW change, just reboot) and now all the node continue running 24.03-RELEASE (amd64) but whitout licence !

    if i try to upgrade it a see a message : check_upgrade (1): unknown error @ 2024-11-19 10:27:48
    and under
    system --> update
    i have
    branch menu empty
    Messages Your device has not been registered for pfSense+. Please purchase a pfSense+ subscription to receive future updates. Netgate store
    and

      Not sure because you system is older but that can be an issue:

        Yup, I'd guess it's a USB Ethernet device like that. The FreeBSD driver likely doesn't see the MAC address and generates a random one at boot.

              Right but the BMC may be USB attached internally. Check the boot logs, do you see a ue0 network device?

                Maybe you can compare the output of "ifconfig -a" between working and not working?
