Ya I saw that link and I see that Xeon procs are supported however this chip doesnt use an FSB - I guess I should have asked if Pfsense supports quickpath interconnect which is what these chips use..

Whether there's an FSB or not shouldn't be exposed to the OS. It should work fine, provided the I/O controller in the chipset is supported, that's what I'd be more concerned about. The box wouldn't be too useful if you can't use any disks or USB ports :P
