      I saved our config file from our phsense 5100 running 23.05.1-RELEASE and tried to restore it on a warm spare running 21.05.2. After some frustration I saw (in the terminal) I was getting error about duplicate sshkeyfile.

      Deleted those line from the config and was able to at least get the machine to start.

      Is the issue the old version of phsense that I was running on the warm spare?
      Or that there is a problem with the xml export in 23.05.1?

      Easy enough to upgrade the spare to current version, but I want to make sure that is the issue.

        You can't restore backwards like that. The config version of the target must always be the same or newer.

        But, yes, you're hitting a known bug that has been fixed: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/13132

          @stephenw10 Thanks! I didn't realize that.
