I have Netgate 2100 and was considering connecting 2 of the ports to the same ethernet switch. Learnt that this causes an issue and I could not reach the device. I have Netgear JGS524Ev2 which supports LAG. Any guidance on how to set up 2 ports on the Netgate 2100 with LACP ?

@azzopardim As far as I know there is no support for creating a LACP LAG from the 2100’s built-in 4 port switch.

PfSense only has LAGG support when aggregating two discrete NICs - not switchports (on built-in switches)

Love the no fuss of using the official appliances :-)

Yes that's true, the on-board switch only supports load-balance LAGGs which is not useful in that situation. The NIC connected to it cannot pass the additional bandwidth and it doesn't provide any redundancy.

The only way you could do it would be using the WAN port and one of the LANs with VLANs run over it. But that's also unlikely to give you anything useful!
