Apparently because I don't suffer enough, I'm trying to learn something more about IPv6.

So, I set up my Netgate 4200 to get IPv6 from Starlink using Potato for Internet's procedure outlined here:

      https://potatoforinter.net/1743/pfsense-and-starlink-making-things-work/3/

It seemed to work, except for one aspect I can't figure out: my LAN nodes take minutes to get their IPv6 address(es) unless I set the RA minimum and maximum RA intervals much lower than the defaults of 200 and 600 seconds respectively to 3 and 4, or similar very low values. When doing so, the IPv6 addresses show up relatively soon. The LAN nodes are a Mac and an iPad.

This is still much slower than the same nodes get IPv4 addresses (in a dual-stack arrangement) which come across in a second or less.

So, what am I missing in configuring IPv6 on my Netgate/pfSense? Shouldn't a LAN node not have to wait 200-600 seconds for a Router Advertisement before being able to get IPv6 address(es)?

Many thanks in advance for your help.
