Moving License to other hardware
-
It may work out well for me to use interim hardware to build a config on for a new system. That will be fully licensed.
Can I transfer a license to new hardware? The old hardware will be retired. And the license only used in one place .. -

a license
A "pfSense plus" ( ? ) license is "linked to the hardware ID", somewhat identical of what Microsoft us for its Windows license.
I'm answering here as "another pfsense user", and I hope I'm wrong of course.
Because licenses are not attributes from the forum, but from Netgate TAC (that's where you got it) why not using the same channel to get a status about your license ?

I am hoping that you can apply to have these transferred?

Me ?
I'm a user like you.
But I read (probably) a lot more forum posts, so I saw recent identical questions and that's why I answered.Licensing is done at TAC, not here.
( there where you got it initially ) -
If you have a paid Plus subscription then open a ticket with TAC to discuss. Usually it can be migrated if you had to replace failed hardware for example.
