24.11 not registered after NIC change

I recently added another NIC to my virtualized 24.11 PFSense instance. This, of course, resulted in a changed NDI. In the past when this happened I re-entered my license key and was good to go. However, it seems that doesn't work anymore (expired?) and there is no longer a free option.

I've been a long time PFSense user with a fairly complex home lab setup with lots of customizations, VPNs, etc. Is my only option to move to CE from Plus? If so, does that require a fresh install with a restore from backup?

Right now, everything is still working fine, with the exception of the spamming of the message queue with thousands of:

check_upgrade: "Updating repositories metadata" returned error code 1 @ 2025-02-05 14:04:57

Anyway to stop that, at least until I can come up with a long term solution?

But, no, you would not need to reinstall if you had to register a new NDI.
