      Can anyone advise what is the update interval for the NTP client. (not the NTP server, the default NTP client) for 2.7.2 CE

        @alhaunts look under services, ntp

        What are you poll settings - ntp doesn't check like once an hour sort of thing..

        When it first start it will poll at min, and if its time is syncing it will slowing back off to the max poll time of 1024 sections in my example or once ever 17 min.

        If you then look at status you can see how often its currently polling, and

        The when is the current count down to the next poll.

          @johnpoz But I'm not running NTP server, so Status/NTP just shows: 'NTP Server is disabled'. I'm just curious what the min/max poll times are for the default pfSense timekeeper.

            @alhaunts The way to sync time in pfsense is ntp.. You don't have to provide time services to anyone else. Ntp is both a client and a server..

            There is no setting for like sntp that I am aware.. If you want pfsense time to be correct, you would setup ntp.. By default it just points to pool out on the internet provided by ntp.org

            If you want to make sure none of your clients sync to it - then just set the listen interface to localhost only.
