Why IPv6 DNS server on dashboard, when no IPv6 used?

    No IPv6 use but this:
    From Staus Dashboard
    DNS server(s)
    127.0.0.1
    ::1 <<===
    149.112.112.112
    9.9.9.9

    DNS settings Network Interfaces : LAN, Localhost

    IPv6 Options:
    Allow IPv6 (unchecked)
    IPv6 over IPv4 Tunneling (unchecked)
    Prefer IPv4 over IPv6 (checked)
    IPv6 DNS entry Do not generate local IPv6 DNS entries for LAN interfaces (checked)

    Version 2.8.0-BETA (amd64)
    built on Sat May 10 10:12:00 EDT 2025
    FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT

      That's just localhost. It's not doing anything if you have IPv6 disabled.

          You can remove it if you really want by setting 'DNS Resolution Behavior' to Use Remote, Ignore Local in System > General Setup.

            @stephenw10 Can't. Because I am using DNS Query Forwarding woith SSL/TLSS to quad9 in DNS resolver mode. Not forwarder.

                @marchand-guy you can remove it by setting to use remote and then just putting in local host 127.0.0.1

                      @johnpoz Ok, thank you. So to avoid any possible side effects by doing some exotic settings mentionned in your post, I decided to follow the "ocd monkey gone with simple click" suggestion.
