I have upgraded to the last version a couple of days ago and since then my pfSense server (Protectli) keeps disconnecting. The only way I can solve it is by unplug it from power. Is there any advice somebody can provide?

      Thanks

In what way is it 'disconnecting'?

What do you see at the console?

@stephenw10 No internet access at all, nothing goes through. Not sure how to access the console.

@luciansrb Ask Protectli…? Does it have a video port?

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

@SteveITS Yeah, it does. it is just a hassle to take it out of the rack to hook it up to a monitor. I'll try that

If it also has a serial console I'd try that. At least if you have the required serial terminal setup available.

You didn't mention specifically, but we assume you mean you upgraded to pfSense 2.8 Community Edition. Generally speaking, you should avoid pulling the power (i.e. physically unplugging/replugging) as much as possible. When running CE on your own hardware, it's not good for the underlying operating system, FreeBSD, nor pfSense's 'system' files for that matter, to experience an abrupt loss of power.
