I've seen similar posts about this issue, but haven't been able to find a solution.

I am using the pfSense appliance VM (from the marketplace) on Azure, recently upgraded version 24.11, but this issue existed before the upgrade.

I have an IPSec VPN connection set up for Mobile Clients and I am connecting from the Windows native VPN client.

The connection is established successfully and works fine for some period of time, but the connection seems to die as soon as I do any significant amount of data transfer.

Even a speed test will kill it. During the speed test (from Chrome browser) the download portion starts fine but seems to die towards the end and the upload portion of the test never even starts. I've also done an upload-only test and it works until I exceed 150MB or so.

I don't see any errors in the pfSense logs that give me any clues about what is going on.

I tried scaling up the VM that is running pfSense, but that did not help.

I have a different OpenVPN server in my Azure environment that does not experience this issue, so I have ruled out any network setting issues there.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer to point me in the right direction to diagnose this problem.

      Thank you
