I'm also experiencing issues with installing 2.8.0CE and have been since yesterday afternoon. Sometimes the installer will fail to contact Netgate servers entirely and can't even determine that I don't have a Plus subscription, but most of the time it fails with a notice that it can't find the repo after I select and configure the disks.

I've tried installing from two locations using two ISPs on the same hardware, one using a static IP WAN, the other a DHCP configured WAN. My hardware is a Supermicro X10SDV with the Xeon D 1521's built in 10Gbe NIC handling the WAN interface. I'm using the memstick image for the install.

If I exit the installer and ping "www.netgate.com" or "8.8.8.8" from the shell, I get a reply, so it doesn't appear to be a misconfigured NIC or DNS issue.

If I install 2.7.2 and try to do an in-place upgrade, it simply says no updated packages found.

Update: It appears to be functional as of last attempt at 15:35 CDT.
