PfSense Github 2.8.0 branch

Re: Looking for PfSense Github 2.8.0 branch.
Where is the 2.8.0 branch on github?
-
Ubeliveable! branch 2.8.0 and 2.8.1 still hidden!
not open source anymore? -
True, you won't find a shrink-wrapped github branch where you can "github clone" from.
That said, if I had to build a list with the (mostly binaries - executables) files that don't have a public source, it would fit on the back of a credit card receipt.
Notably : the main-master-make file
Other files are mostly patches for the stock FreeBSD kernel and core OS files.
All the others, like +99% : activate SSH, install, for example WinSCP, and you can browse and see them all, as they are on your pfSense device. -

@tinfoilmatt Looking for branch 2.8.1 on github - Latest available is 2.7.2
-
@fabricioguzzy Just for the sake of finding it?
-
@tinfoilmatt no, just for the sake of building all the kernel modules that they don't ship anymore
-
@sTicKs23 When's the last time you did that?
-
@tinfoilmatt did it on 2.7.0 and 2.7.2 because running on custom x86 hardware with specific needs. didn't need it on 2.6.0 since it had everything packed until then.
-
@sTicKs23 Does built 2.8.1 still meet your specific needs?
-
@tinfoilmatt unfortunatelly cannot do the upgrade without the missing kernel modules, so no.
-
-
@sTicKs23 I'm also curious.
But if your fork based on
2.7.2containing QAT support for Denverton CPUs ever drops, I'd be genuinely interested. -
@tinfoilmatt Hi, are you reffering to these modules?

Unfortunatelly I cannot test it because I don't own any, I'm on x86.
