Really weird issue this monring my Netgate SG-2100 with pfSense 25.07.1 lost all it's interfeace assigments this morning. Stuck on boot unable to auto detect the interfaces. I had to manually go in via serial and assign the interfaces. Looking at the event log the WAN interface had a DOWN link event about 02:00 the device then rebooted/crashed as it tried to restart all packages then failed to come back up? Very strange behaviour as it's generally been good as gold (baring a boot device chnage) anyone else experianced this on 25.07.1?

@TTWE The stop on boot is if it detects an interface change (remove/add). Was the configuration kept or lost?

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.

@SteveITS So the configured interfaces stayed but the assigment's of those interfaces were lost so partially?

@TTWE can you post the logs around the 2:00 event?
