Ok I have done some testing and alot of reading on here

I understand that it is not possible to setup squid to failover from WAN to OPT when the internet goes down.

In my enviroment I am running Squid and Squidgaurd.
I have found in my testing that the loadbalancer failover works just fine, except port 80. while failed over if I disable transparent proxy then I get the failover effect I desire, without content filter but thats fine its temporary.

So my question is, can I make a cron job that pings or a custom load balancer rule that will disable transparent proxy in a failover scenario.

      is this possible?
