2.7.2 to 2.8.1 : GUI tells 2.8.1 available but no "branch" selection available
-
Hi all
2.7.2 install on a PC engine APU barebone. Install is correct, and GUI tells that 2.8.1 is available.
But when I click the small blue cloud for upgrade, I only get package manager, and no setup nor branch selection.
From the shell, pfSense-upgrade -C tells me ">>> Updating repositories metadata... done.
2.8.1 version of pfSense is available" but how can I tell it to fetch and install v2.8.1 ? -
@f.meunier I would start with the commands at
https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/upgrades.html#upgrade-not-offered-library-errors -
@f.meunier from the gui, you can go to System => Update and change the branch manually. I've seen that problem before and going to the Update manually seems to fix it. Let me know if it helps.

pfSense-upgrade -Conly checks if an upgrade is available. So what you see there is correct. Just runpfSense-upgradeand it should offer you the upgrade.
