      Hi everyone,
I have a Netgate 6100, which comes with four SFP+ ports (WAN1–WAN4) and four RJ45 LAN ports.
I’d like to use two of the SFP+ ports (WAN3 and WAN4) as LAN interfaces instead, mainly to take advantage of their 10 Gbps speed for internal networking.
Are these SFP+ ports hardware-dedicated as WAN, or can they be freely reassigned in pfSense/Netgate Plus to function as LAN ports?
In other words, is “WAN” just a default label, or are there any physical or configuration limitations I should be aware of?
      Thanks

Yes, you can do that. The labeling there is just a label, the ports can be used for any type of interface.
